The Parish Council has installed a Vehicle Speed Indicator Device to help improve road safety within the parish and especially capture data on cars using Main Street. 

The sign uses radar technology to detect the speed of approaching vehicles and is able to display the vehicle’s speed in real time alongside a clear visual message, reminding drivers to slow down if they are exceeding the speed limit. The sign operates automatically and does not record vehicle registration numbers or identify individual drivers and the speed data is collected anonymously and stored within the unit for later analysis.

The sign records traffic speed data, allowing the Parish Council to monitor vehicle speeds over time and better understand traffic patterns within the parish.

Monthly speed reports will be published on this page, showing a summary of the data collected. These reports will help inform future discussions with the local authority and support ongoing efforts to improve road safety.
